The skin rejuvenation procedure depends on the action produced by thousands of micro needles applied to the skin using a device called a Genuine Dermaroller. The upper layer of the skin is penetrated “traumatised” and causing the skin to naturally regenerate and repair. Blood rushes to the surface new skin cells and collagen are laid down. The whole process takes up to six weeks and will continue in the following months providing a natural and long lasting result. Genuine derma roller procedure should be repeated approximately six weeks apart to obtain the best result. Normally three to four treatments is sufficient. However, on particular skin complaint, it may be necessary for extra treatments.
For the treatment of localised scarring, the practitioner may use the Dermastamp which may be of more benefit.
Immediately after treatment because of the trauma caused to the surface of the skin and the blood under the surface of the skin, it will look as though you have mild sunburn. Your skin will also feel warmer and tighter than usual. This will subside very rapidly. The clinician will advise you on the use of post procedure cream and UV protection methods.
This method is not suitable for those who have active skin infections, such as active acne or flared eczema.
